Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU, formerly known as Northern Jiaotong University) is a national key university under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education and now is jointly supported by the Ministry of Education, the China Railway Corporation (formerly known as the Ministry of Railways) and Beijing Municipal Government. BJTU is one of the first universities selected into the “National 211 Project” and the “985 Strength Discipline Innovation Platform” project, one of the first institutions authorized to confer master’s and doctoral degrees. BJTU, as the leading organization, has established the Collaborative Innovation Centre for Rail Transit Safety, which is one of the first 14 collaborative centers approved by the Chinese government to enter the “National 2011 projects”.

In 2018, BJTU ISS will open a 4-week program, which offers a wide range of courses including Political Science, English, History, Accounting, Mathematics, Philosophy, Psychology, Economics, Sociology, Art History, etc. BJTU ISS's faculty team consists of experienced professors from many prestigious U.S. universities and colleges including Case Western Reserve University, UC Davis, and Michigen State University etc.

We provide one on-campus housing choice in Shanghai: International Exchange Service Center. The rooms will be allocated to students randomly.

1. On-campus housing:

The on-campus housing availability is limited at ECNU, so students are highly recommended to register and pay off the tuition and housing fee as early as possible since the room is first come first served.

The International Exchange Service Center is an on-campus hotel run by Shanghai Hua-Shen Sino-Foreign Cultural Exchange Service Co., Ltd. directly under the supervision of East China Normal University.

There are 255 rooms in the complex, including 71 economy rooms, 170 standard rooms and 14 suites. There are also entertainment facilities such as a coffee bar with an elegant and comfortable environment.
